About Derick

Derick Thranhardt has been a part of the Hillis Properties team since 2019. He facilitates purchase / sale and leasing transactions for Industrial, Office, Retail and Land properties. Having spent over 30 years living and working in the Jacksonville area, Derick has extensive knowledge of the marketplace, key investors, developers, and local land use and zoning codes. Before joining the Hillis Properties team, Derick worked for an IT consulting firm in Charlotte, NC where he worked as a business development manager. He later moved back to Jacksonville to help grow and expand a new office with the same company. As a previous small business owner, Derick’s love for real estate, helping businesses grow and the Jacksonville area led him to a career in commercial real estate.

In his free time, Derick enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, as well as surfing, fishing, snowboarding, and playing golf. A graduate of University of Georgia, he has an unhealthy obsession for his Georgia Bulldogs, and been a Jacksonville Jaguar fan since day one.
